Ingredients
1/2 cup onion, chopped 4 cups canned chicken broth 1/2 cup celery, chopped 10 oz. frozen peas 2 garlic cloves, minced 4 cups cubed cooked chicken 1/4 cup butter 2 cups Bisquick (Buttermilk) 1/2 cup flour 2 tsp. basil 1 tsp. salt 2/3 cup milk 1 tsp. dried basil
Directions
Saut» onion, celery and garlic in butter until tender.
Add flour, sugar, salt, basil, and broth; bring
to a boil.
Cook and stir for one minute; reduce heat.
Add peas and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in cubed chicken.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
12 Dumplings Preparation--
Combine Bisquick and basil in a bowl.
Stir in milk with a fork until moistened.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto casserole.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30 minutes or
until nicely browned on top.
