Ingredients
1 c. sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 t. almond extract 21 oz. can cherry pie filling 1 Devil's Food cake mix 5 T. margarine 1/3 c. milk 1 c. chocolate chips (1/2 bag)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350?, grease and flour 9" x 13" pan. In a large bowl combine cake mix, pie filling, almond and eggs. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into pan and bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. In a small saucepan combine sugar, margarine and milk. Heat to boiling and boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted. Pour over warm bars. Let cool and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
